Hello Everyone, It is my next project after ” Md’s Little Help food Bank”. So I have named it Md’s Little Help Dinner club.
What is the purpose of this Dinner Club- ( DC) ? As an asylum seeker, we live at £38/week and we miss them tremendously. We wish we could have nice food at least once a month? It is very hard to get good foods in that little amount we get. Honestly, when I pass by the restaurant I think I wish I could be there in that restaurant having nice food. Since I used to be a Cook in Portugal and in the UK and I know how to cook lots of different dishes I thought it would be a good idea to do a dinner club with someone from the community ( Like asylum seekers, Refugees, Elderlies and vulnerable people). It will also give me an opportunity to meet new people and serve the community with some very few skills I have.

What is the Benefit of this Dinner Club? We all are a human being and we all like food. I think food is one of the ways we can make a good connection with each other very easily. It is also great to try a different kind of foods. Most of the time asylum seekers are being told they do not integrate into the community. My Little help Dinner club will facilitate this opportunity. Suppose if an elderly came to the DC and meet an asylum seeker and know about them the concept of why people come to see asylum may change. This may create new friends and introduce Empathy bridge, Compassion Plane between us and the community. My idea is to make it happen through food and doing a good dinner together and encourage more and more people to be with us.

When it was started? I have started it in my Special day of the year 7th if September . It will continue from now in and I really wish people will like it.
How can we ( you) help? First of all, you can help me by being my “Honorable lovely Guest” for one dinner club. To run this small project I urge everyone if possible help me with little foods so I can use them to cook nice food for the dinners. It could be one potato, one onion, half kilo chicken or meat or vegetable, rice etc. Just ask if you are willing to donate any food. I would not accept money. It would be good if I could keep going on with this little help dinner club. I can promise you do not have to bring anything or any gift. You just need to bring yourself. Please email me or what’s app me to know further. Also regarding manu, we can always have whatever we like from my manu and mix the choices with the other person.
What is the food standard? I can assure I cook everything from fresh and fresh herbs and spices ( Asian) with all safety COVID precautions. You are more than welcome to come and help me in my dinner club if you would like to.

Here are some pictures of the first Dinner Club meet up.
